I wanted to start off the new year with some December 2011 stats. I think it is important for home buyers and home owners to know and understand where our current real estate market is and probably heading. As we already know, the Northern VA area is a well-known area where many wish to migrate to for employment or to raise a family. Considering the table above, December 2011 was a positive way to end the year when it comes to real estate. Homes on the market were sold at an average increase of 3.64% meaning homes on the market were sold at its true value and more. The number of days a listing was on the market decreased at 4.62%; homes were on the market for a lesser period of time compared to that of the previous month. As a home owner trying to sell, December was a good month!
